What this site collects — and what it does not.
Short version: nothing at all unless you agree to analytics, and whatever you choose to type into the contact form. No account, no profile, nothing sold to anybody.
Visiting the site
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count how many people visit and which pages get read. It records the page, the site you arrived from, your country, and your browser and device type — as totals, not as a record of you.
It does not set a cookie, does not store anything in your browser, does not build a fingerprint from your IP address or browser, and cannot follow you to other sites. There is no profile of you anywhere, which is why this site asks you to accept nothing.
There is no advertising here, and nothing collected is used for advertising or sold to anybody.
The contact form
What you type into the form is sent to me by email through Formspree, a form-handling service, and is stored in their dashboard so I can keep track of enquiries. That means your message passes through their servers on the way to my inbox.
I use it to reply to you. It does not go on a mailing list, there is no follow-up sequence, and it is not shared with anyone. Ask me to delete an enquiry and I will.
There is one hidden field on the form that real people never see. If it is filled in, the submission is treated as automated and discarded. That is the only thing on the form you are not shown.
What is stored in your browser
- Your theme choice (light or dark) — so the site does not switch on you between pages. Never leaves your device.
- Your progress on the accounting-standards quizzes (education pages) — answers and position, so you can pick up where you left off. Stored in your browser under keys starting
std43:/std44:. Never leaves your device. - Nothing else. No advertising cookie, no session identifier, no analytics cookie.
The interactive examples run entirely in your browser. The figures you type into them are never sent anywhere and are gone when you close the tab.
Client information is a different matter
This page is about the website. How financial information is handled during actual work — no banking credentials, read-only reports, anonymisation, NDAs — is set out separately.
